Duties of the Bylaws Committee are 

 To interpret the Bylaws, which shall be binding 

 To review the Bylaws annually and make recommendations regarding any changes, alterations, or deletions. 

 To review suggestions from members or the Chapter regarding changes to assure that the Bylaws reflect the current needs and requirements of the Chapter and the national organization 

 To prepare amendments to the Bylaws and present to the Chapter membership at least 30 days in advance of a vote 

 The Bylaws can be amended by a majority vote by all Chapter members who have indicated a vote (yes or no) to any and all such amendments 

 Notify the Board and Chapter membership of the outcome on the vote of proposed Bylaws amendments 

 Maintain the official copy of the Chapter Bylaws and make available to the Board or any Chapter members who requests a copy of the current Chapter Bylaws 

 To make announcements of voting process and procedures, tabulate election results and votes, and report the results to the Board and Chapter 

 To hold ballots, credentials, and election results for one (1) year 

Requirements for Nomination

 Nominee must be an active chapter member

 Nominee must complete a consent to serve form

 Nominee must agree to serve a 1 year term

 Nominee will submit a brief summary of the candidate’s professional qualifications including education and nursing experience, and goals for that office which they are seeking
