Ian N. Saludares, MPA, BSN, RN, NEA-BC, CPXP is a dedicated leader in advocacy for men in nursing , serving as a past president and advisor of NYC Men in Nursing and a founding member of the Lower Hudson Valley Chapter of Men in Nursing. At the national level, he has been a driving force within the American Association for Men in Nursing (AAMN), serving two terms as national treasurer and most recently holding a seat as an At-Large Board Member. His commitment to advancing men in nursing has helped shape mentorship programs and leadership opportunities across local and national platforms.
Beyond his advocacy work, Ian has over 30 years of nursing and healthcare leadership experience. He currently serves as an Administrator for Nursing Operations at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, where he collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and foster a culture of innovation. His past roles include Patient Care Director for Critical Care Services at New York-Presbyterian Westchester and Director of Patient and Customer Experience at Lenox Hill Hospital - Northwell Health.
Ian is a Fellow of the Society of Luther Christman of AAMN and a Leadership Fellow of the Philippine Nurses Association of America (PNAA). He was also elected to the Executive Board of the Philippine Nurses Association of New York for the 2024-2026 term, further expanding his influence in nursing leadership. His contributions to the profession have been recognized with numerous awards, including the Nurse Leader Excellence Award and the Distinction in Leadership Award.
A sought-after speaker at national and international conferences, Ian is also a published author, contributing to Healing Healthcare: Evidence-Based Strategies to Mend Our Broken System. His passion for mentorship, professional development, and elevating the role of men in nursing continues to inspire the next generation of healthcare leaders.
